The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held at 10:00 a.m. on November 3, 2025. As required by
Oklahoma Statues 1991, Title 25, Section 311 , Notice was given of this meeting by posting the agenda on the doors of the Courthouse and in the Conference Room on October 31, 2025 at 9:26 a.m.
Chairman Vore led the BOCC in the pledge of allegiance.
Chairman Vore called the meeting to order. Roll was called to determine a quorum. Present and responding were
Commissioners Shane Vore, John Smiley and D#l Foreman Damien Starks. Also present were Treasurer Rachel
Spellman-Hughes, Woods County Clerk Shel ley Reed, Commissioner Assistant Christy Gregory and Alva Review Courier Marione Martin.
Vore, seconded by Starks, moved to approve the minutes of the Special meeting that was held on October 31 ,2025.
Voting aye: Smiley, Starks and Vore. Motion carried.
The following monthly reports were moved for approval by Smiley, seconded by Starks. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore. Motion carried. Court Clerk and Treasurer monthly reports were not available for the meeting.
Assessor Collections $ 51.50
County Clerk Office Collections $ 16,764.44
Health Dept. Collections $ 4,942.23
Sheriffs Office Collections $ 2,137.00
Board of Prisoners Expenses $ 5,123.20
Vore, seconded by Starks, moved to approve Resolution #25-26-72 to surplus and junk a Lanier Copier for the Treasurer ID#C2 13-03. Century will dispose this copier for her. Voting aye: Smiley, Starks and Vore. Motion carried.
Smiley, seconded by Vore, moved to approve the transfer of appropriations from General Sales Tax building account to General Sales Tax Rural Fire account in the amount of $70,000.00. Voting aye: Smiley, Starks and Vore. Motion carried.
Starks, seconded by Vore, moved to approve, adding Greg Baker to the list of the Open Pasture Roads Resolution. Voting aye: Smiley, Starks and Vore. Motion carried.
Starks reported on the Alva Senior Citizens project: Painting is 95% done, waiting for the AC units to be set, they have begun work on the parking lot and they should start on the counter tops this week.
Under new business. Smiley mentioned he is advertising to sell the scraper and crack machine again through bidadoo online auction.
Blanket purchase orders #1501 to # 1520 were moved for approval by Starks, seconded by Smiley. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore. Motion carried.
Smiley moved to adjourn, seconded by Starks. Voting aye: Vore, Starks and Smiley. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned
