COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

The Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held at 10:00 a.m. on December 22, 2025. As required by Oklahoma Statues 1991, Title 25, Section 311, Notice was given of this meeting by posting the Agenda on the doors of the Courthouse on December 19, 2025 at 9:24 a.m.   

Chairman Vore led the BOCC in the pledge of allegiance.

Chairman Vore called the meeting to order.  Roll was called to determine a quorum.  Present and responding were Commissioners John Smiley, Shane Vore and Damien Starks. Also present were County Clerk Shelley Reed, Emergency Manager Evan Yauk, and Alva Review Courier Marione Martin.

Vore, seconded by Starks, moved to approve the minutes of the meeting that was held on December 15, 2025. Voting aye: Smiley, Starks and Vore. Motion carried.

Vore, seconded by Starks, moved to approve the Population form letter to Oklahoma 9-1-1 Management Authority for E911. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore.  Motion carried.

Starks, seconded by Vore, moved to approve the transfer of appropriations from HWY D#1 CIRB to D#1 Personal Services and from HWY D#2 CIRB to D#2 personal services in the amount of $13,685.74 each. Voting aye: Vore, Smiley, and Starks.  Motion carried.

Smiley, seconded by Starks, moved to approve the transfer of appropriations from Elections M & O to

to personal services in the amount of $50.00 for the safety bonus. Voting aye: Vore, Smiley, and Starks.  Motion carried.

Smiley, seconded by Starks, moved to approve Resolution#25-26-90 to surplus and junk ID#D250-025 HP Compute for D#3. The computer will be destroyed prior to being disposed of in the dumpster. Voting aye: Starks, Vore and Smiley.  Motion carried.

Starks, seconded by Smiley, moved to approve Resolution#25-26-91 to surplus and junk ID#G213-013 the Gestetner Copier is to be disposed of in the dumpster. Voting aye: Starks, Vore and Smiley.  Motion carried.

Starks reported that the hold-up now on the Alva Senior Citizens building is the utilities ONG & OG&E.

Blanket purchase orders #2034to #2042 were moved for approval by Starks, seconded by Vore. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore. Motion carried.

Starks moved to adjourn seconded by Vore.  Voting aye: Vore, Starks and Smiley. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
