The Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held at 3:00 p.m. on January 20, 2026. As required by Oklahoma Statues 1991, Title 25, Section 311, Notice was given of this meeting by posting the Agenda on the doors of the Courthouse and on the Conference Room window on January 15, 2026, at 2:50 p.m.
Chairman Starks led the BOCC in the pledge of allegiance.
Chairman Starks called the meeting to order. Roll was called to determine a quorum. Present and responding were Commissioners Shane Vore, John Smiley and Damien Starks. Also present were County Clerk 1st Deputy Jennifer Schafer, Emergency Manager Evan Yauk, District #1 First Deputy Lisa Parker and Commissioner Assistant Christy Gregory.
Starks motioned to approve the Fair Board Election results, seconded by Vore. District #1 Remington Rose; District #2 Paula McMurphy; District #3 Timothy Ohm. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore. Motion carried.
Total Votes received:
District #1 – Remington Rose 18; Dianna Nighswonger 15
District #2 – Pula McMurphy 56; Brooke Meyer 14
District #3 – Timothy Ohn 15; Royce White 11; Brock White 2
Vore moved to adjourn seconded by Starks. Voting aye: Starks, Smiley and Vore. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
